This award-winning, dual-purpose sensor allows you to effortlessly monitor the power status and temperature of your critical infrastructure. Originally developed for the data center market to track server exhaust temperatures and power consumption, its versatile design makes it perfectly suited for monitoring firewalls, switches, HVAC units, sump pumps, freezers, or any device with an AC power cord. It feeds real-time data back to your compatible Room Alert monitor every two seconds, ensuring continuous data logging, alerting, and automatic corrective action.

Non-Invasive, Zero-Downtime Installation

Traditional power monitors often require cutting open a power cord to isolate conductors, hiring an electrician to wire a main panel, or forcing costly downtime to unplug running equipment. This sensor eliminates those risks with a completely non-invasive design. By simply strapping it to the outside of an AC cord, it instantly detects the current, registering the status as ‘Active’ if the connected device draws more than 100W.

Dual Environmental Tracking

• Active Power Detection: Safely and accurately recognizes active power consumption over 100W (accuracy within +/- 2.5W), giving you immediate visibility if a critical server or AC unit drops offline.

• Temperature Monitoring: Delivers real-time ambient temperature readings. Placing this directly behind a server exhaust helps track gradual temperature increases that often precede hardware failure or high power consumption issues.
