Designed to provide real-time recognition of a door or cabinet opening, this sensor acts as a critical first line of defense for server rooms, wiring closets, and data centers. When integrated with your Room Alert monitor, it immediately triggers an alarm condition to send automated notifications the moment a breach occurs.
Simple Installation & Operation
The sensor relies on a straightforward, highly reliable magnetic separation mechanism. Simply mount the wired sensor to the frame of your door or cabinet, and attach the matching actuator directly opposite it on the moving door itself. When the door opens, the two components separate, instantly tripping the sensor.
Flexible Plug & Play Deployment
This sensor features true “Plug & Play” integration, connecting instantly to any of the standard switch sensor channels on the back of a compatible Room Alert monitor. While it comes equipped with a 25′ (7.62 m) sensor cable, you can easily extend the monitoring distance up to approximately 900′ (274.32 m) using standard speaker wire, twisted pair, or any reliable low-voltage 2-wire cable.
